What is the most effective strategy for learning to speak in public?
The answer is simple and immediate: to talk about something that belongs to us deeply and mastered by our experiences or our study and that, therefore, we know we know. Talk about something that has struck our attention and captured our interest. Talk about something that we really want to transmit and communicate to our listeners. it is especially not 10 minutes to prepare our speech but ... 10 hours! Here are nine principles that will help you a lot to prepare your speech:
Save a speech involves taking a double risk: the first is to forget, the second is to seem artificial in its exposure and have a blank look and tone of voice posted. If you need to prepare and deal with a very long speech, write a few notes on a piece of paper that you hold and which to take a look every now and then.
4) Enhance your speech with pictures and examples.
4) Enhance your speech with pictures and examples.
The easiest way to make a speech interesting, memorable and understandable is to enrich it with many examples. The hardest thing about preparing a speech is not in fact find the right idea or identify and expose contents, but to find the images and examples that express those ideas and concepts in a clear, vivid and unforgettable. Without "mental anchor" that is imprinted in our memory, we forget too soon the most brilliant speech that we have seen.
5) Learn more about your topic.
Make sure you become a real expert on the subject you are dealing with, gathering as much information and knowledge possible. That means you have a resource and an invaluable source for more, especially in dealing with specific questions or insidious and in responding to any request for investigation.
6) Try talking your talk with your colleagues.
6) Try talking your talk with your colleagues.
Far practice and practice with your friends and colleagues is a thousand times better than doing it alone, gesticulating in front of a mirror!
7) Use visual aids when appropriate.
7) Use visual aids when appropriate.
The use of visual aids can improve a presentation, but at the same time they introduce potential barriers that must be overcome to arrive at an excellent presentation. For this reason, the focus of a presentation must always remain as speaker and not the media. Choose the media from time to time so that they are as consistent and appropriate for the purpose, the size of the public, strategy and message content, as well as the availability of resources and to prepare them to "cut" of the general presentation.
8) Check the "butterflies in the stomach (tension and nervousness):
through some deep breaths and repeated (mentally or aloud) words of encouragement with a little 'physical activity.

9) Do not imitate others. Be yourself!
advice is valid in every sphere of our personal and professional life. Each of us is unique and original! Nobody has ever been exactly like us and no one will ever be in the future. It is therefore essential fare delle proprie peculiarità e individualità un punto di forza. Il discorso che ti prepari ad affrontare è parte integrante di te e rappresenta le tue esperienze e convinzioni, esprime la tua personalità e il tuo modo di vivere ed interpretare il mondo.
